I live in west central Illinois in Jersey county and the snows and blues have been lousy lately. Took Cole on a successful doe hunt at jeff's place on Sunday and the snows were everywhere! Gonna get after 'em this weekend...just wanted to see if everyone else is seein' or huntin' em!!

I hate bass pro but they were the only place I could find some rags close. I bought 100 snow rags...50 blue rags and rods for them all. I'm gonna take the old plug out...crank up the electronic caller and cozy up in the old finisher this weekend hopefully! Let us know if you do any good!!

Wow boys! There's actually huntable numbers of snows in Illinios right now?? That kinda weird isnt it? But there is a cold front coming through right now. Today it only got up to 29 degrees here in central Iowa. Im sure most of the snows are still way south like in Texas right? I think we still got a few more weeks of cold weather Midwest.

A week or two ago, their was 300-500 thousand setting on one lake alone. St least that is what the report was. Crazy it is though, they asre a month early. I heard today from a IDNR Biologist that all the Migrators (MVP) canadas are north allready also. Global warming is a bummer.

there are more snows in South Central nebraska than I have ever seen this early in the year. things this winter are just backwards. there was about 500-600 feeding in a field 2 miles East of us this morning. There were still Specs in the area as well. This is the Middle of January. I am just loving it. I hope the snows stay to the South for another Month. I would hate to see them in South Dakota by the midle of Febuary. Oh well have to take what Mother Nature gives us. :?

Bald Eagles = 98
Trumpeter Swans = 17 (5 cygnets)
Snow Geese = 50,000 (more geese are trickling in and there are likely more in the area)
Canada Geese = 11,294
I don't think they have even started out of texas yet. ;)
