Computer Idiot - Need Help

I want to start posting pictures, and want to put a picture up for my avatar. The image I load for my avatar says its too big a file. I have no clue how to post pics. Any help would be appreciated.

in your hosting site you need to select the uploading option, for your profile you can use avatar size 100x75 or thumb nail 160x120. for main page pics use message board size, after upoading highlight the URL of your pic then copy and paste the URL by using the IMG button in the post a reply box hope this helps. need any more help feel free to ask.

A website that will allow you to upload a photo to them from your CPU.

Photobucket, image shack are 2 examples.
