Arkansas Ducks?

Anybody know if they got many ducks in the northeast corner of AK? We're goin to be heading down there on Thursday was wondering if anybody knew much about down there. Staying near a town called Walnut Ridge

Don't quote me on this but I have heard that some people are cancelling on hunts in Arkansas and Louisianna because the mallards aren't even there yet because it hasnt been cold enough to drive them down that far in any big numbers. Just what I heard though.

The last I heard there were 50,000 birds north of KC in Squaw Creek and 135k birds in Four Rivers north of Springfield, MO. Don't think the push has made it yet, but they are calling for snow here in STL late tomorrow(Christmas) night. Best of luck on your hunt!

yeah i am supposed to go to stuttgart wednesday but don't if we are going to go because every body we have talked to siad they don't have birds except for a few right next to the miss river

thanks for the info guys. we're goin to be hunting flooded rice fields, never hunted them before are they anything like hunting flooded corn fields because thats what we have up here?

I still got alot of mallards around me I live in carlyle and their still here on the lake

well we didnt go they shot 3 ducks tuesday and 6 ducks wed so we ended up not going. so my dad said since we're not going hes goin to buy me a new Timber Rattler call. so i guess its a pretty good pay off. and about Carlye we hunted down there today and shot one duck but found out where they are goin so we're hitting it tomarrow.

I went to a place about 15 miles away from stuttgart and slayed them from the 26-30 we had a great teal shoot in the timber first morning...lots of woodies still around and killed a bunch of mallards... we killed 54 as our total...it was awesome
Last night we were there we were sitting on the levy for our woods and we watched over 5,000 birds pile into a rest area that was on the other side of the levy.... I just sat there listened and watched.... No doubt the most beautiful thing I've ever seen... and not to mention about 100 hail calls going on at the same time was amazing...
