So I went to go look at a Chevy 2006 Reg Cab 4x4, 5.3 V8, AT with 54,000 miles today. It had all bells and whistles and clllllleeeeannn looking truck with the color of Onyx Black and brand new A/T Wranglers. They were asking 15999 and I offered 16,000 and he said the best he could do was 17200........And that was the price as we were 5 miles down the road.

Same thing i did with mine. Offer the price they have advertised because with taxes, title, and tags it ends up being alot more. In this case if they would have finance him 16k he would have only paid around 14,900 for it. Dont get a reg cab dude!!!

Thats its exactly it. It was another 1600 dollars for licensing fees and sales tax which in California is around 9% now. So I was really only offering 14600. The blue book on it was like 17500 so I was hoping I might be able to get it for a good deal but whatever.

I feel your pain, I am in the hunt for a used truck and I swear they try to pull sh--t everytime you turn around. I was dead set on a truck last week and it jumped about 2,000 the day I went to sign on it, due to all these hidden fees....needless to say, I am still driving my 20 year old car.
