Winchester SX2 I've had 3 of them and NEVER had one freeze. Matter of fact I've never had one do anything but fire when I pull the trigger. Best gun I've ever owned.

I have some Gas Operated Brownings and Remingtons, that I used to hunt upland game with, in some pretty extreme weather, with out any problem. But I still can't get myself to use an automatic in a duck or goose blind. I use either my nova or BPS 10 gauge.
I second Krees reply.
We had one of the coldest Decembers that I remember and I never had a problem.
I am curiouse to see the improvement to the venting of the X3, always felt that the X2's system was excellent.

i have a beretta al390 and i have only had it freeze and not eject one shell one time. but that was when we were hunting water and it was so cold that the water was freezing around us as we stood in the marsh. but i have never had it freeze in the field though.

I had a Charles Daly automatic freeze up on me the third day I took it hunting. My dad broke the bolt off the breech trying to get it open. It was a total piece of crap!! It cycled about 2 boxes of shells trhough it without a problem and then it started doing all kinds of crap. It would shoot one shell and not eject it. It would eject the first shell and then not bring another into the chamber. I mean it could be freshly cleaned and we couldnt get more than a few shells to run through it good. I quit screwing around and bought a SBE. No problems but it's recoil operated.
