Received Max4 MG for Christmas and Strait Meat Sounds CD. Can I apply techniques offered on Strait Meat Sounds to the use of MG? Also received a cheap flute call which instructs on the package to puff cheeks and blow. What would anyone recommend for further viewing or listening to train entry level goose hunter?

Yes...the Meat Grinder is a short reed so all of the lessons will be applied to that call. That CD isnt based on a certain call, it's based on the short reed style of call.
As far as flutes go I'm no help.

Like Kelly said...the CD is applicable to all short reed calls in the Foiles line.
BUT....blowing a flute and a short reed are two VERY DIFFERENT things. When you blow a short a reed...you DO NOT "puff your cheeks" like you would on a flute. If you are blowing the short reed and you start sounding like a "party horn"....there is a very good chance that you are puffing your cheeks. Keep'em tight and bring the air up from your diaphragm (hot air...like you are fogging up a pair of glasses to clean them).
Hope that helped!!

Thanks gentlemen, I'm working on it. Though some trouble with ooohs and aaahs sounding identical.
