SHOWTIME..??

i was just wondering would this be a good call for a simi-"rookie" to calling geese.. not waterfowling..

showtime is more of a competion call, therefore it takes more air to blow if your just starten out id suggest a strait meat honker or a meat grinder or a high plains honker

I would agree, if you have good skills on a call it would work out for you. If your still learning the basics (clucks, moans, growls, putting sequences together) I would go with a Strait MEat Honker. If you already have a SMH the SHowtime would compliment it well.

Find one and blow it, best way to find out.

I'm gonna go against the grain here a bit and say you would be able to get going on the Showtime. I mean this does not blow a great deal different than any other Foiles call, ya a bit more air, but from what I have been told from a few first timers that have blew it and watching first timers blow the call at the booth, they seem to do just fine.

This is by no means the call I would suggest learning on, but I know it can be done, and if you do decide to go this route, you would be a bit ahead of the game in terms of your air pressure. So I guess it is up to you, go out and test drive em someplace is the best advice I can give. Let us know if you have any further questions or what you decide.....

I am fairly new to goose hunting and calling and I have a showtime and a smh. I had Gary Crafton a foiles pro staffer tune it for me not hard to blow at all. so if you buy a showtime and have someone that knows how to tune em tune it for ya you cant go wrong with a showtime. just my opinion.
