may buy a strait meat honker from a buddy. i dont know if its flamed or cocobolo. but i am wondering is there anything to worry about or maintainance or any problems that may come with a wood call? thanks

there is nothing to worry about I have hunted my coco and smoke SMH for 6 years and other hten normal abuse marks there is no problem and you can always send in to the shop and have them redo the finish

rub some lemon oil on it every now and again then it wont crack over time and will stay lookin good

no problems with my wood calls, back in the old days thats all there was were wood calls. but if ya use it for clubing cripples, or as a hammer you will shorten its life span.............................................. ....R
