just my 2 cents. I hunted southern Illinois the 26 and 27th. The 26th it was real cloudy and we had a corn field about 300 yards behind us and ducks piled in all day, wish we were hunting it. The next day it was sunny and clear, saw maybe 50 ducks fly in all day. so I would say hunt the corn. Like I said just my 2 cents.

I've hunted timber in AR for over 20 years and I'll take a sunny day anytime!

Cloudy and rainy sounds like an excellent day for the corn. We don't have flooded timber around my area, but I've heard that ducks prefer to go to the timber when it's sunny out.

Here in NoDak it doesn't seem to matter if they were in the corn the night before thats where your going to find them in the morning. We had quite a few 8 man limit mornings in the corn this fall on both sunny and cloudy days. So I really don't think that cloud cover plays a roll here.

If it was just cloudy I would say it would be a good day for a cornfield. I have never hunted flooded timber but the conditions sound like it would be perfect for the timber, just from what I have seen on DVD's and TV shows.
