Looking for some kind of small boat to get me across some shallow flats. I have been looking at "pirogues" but dont know much about them. What have you guys found to be useful for something like this? Needing something I can drag up on the bank and cover with camo netting.

Hard to be a cheap canoe either. Sit in the middle and be smart, good as anything not costing 12,000 bucks.

Canoe is the way to go or even rig up a kayak

if your not gonna be in any type of big waves id get a small flat bottom aluminum jon boatthey sit low to the water and you can put all the camo on them u want..look on craigs list in your area you can probably go pickup a 12' jon for couple hundred bucks

Yeah, craig's is a good place to check. I scored a brown canoe for 75 bucks by cruising a rummage sale type of deal. College kids moved out and left it behind.

I've been thinking about getting the Final Attack version of this boat. It seems a lot more stable than a canoe to me. Drake also makes one.

This was my setup for a few years: two bags of decoys, blind bag, gun, Scout and I.

LOL I wish!!! Looks like they might ban these on most WMA's here in Arkansas. That should ruffle some feathers!

I use an Old Town "Predator" Kayak. This thing handles whatever and floats in whatever. I use it in swamps and I use it to hunt sea ducks and divers in Long Island sound without a second thought.
