Sorry guys i wish i had gotten some pics that day but i was running the video camera and forgot the digital at home...if i could post the vid i would, but i dont think photobucket has enough space lol......but anyways, was the best hunt of the season so far, got our 6 man limit of honks by 9 am, out of out pit, then went out that afternoon same field but only me and my boy, took the layouts, and just ***ery hunted, we wernt really looking to kill anything just concentrated on putting them in the decoys.....got a decent group of 30 or so birds comming off our pind to eat, worked us 4 or five times but didnt really wanna come down, got one small group of 5 to break off the main group on the third pass, and got one of the birds to land right inbetween me and my boy, the birds wings actually beat against the footbag of his groundforce, that was totally awesome to watch, but kinda freaked the bird out, the other four rejoined the group and the one seemed to walk around the decoys for about 5 mins before deciding he wanted to return to the group also, and just as hit feet left the ground. BOOM my boy layed him back down...damn near took his head off at 15 yards...but that was the only shot fired that afternoon, and all the other birds were gone so we didnt educateanyone, and only had one shot and one kill...all in all it was a totally awesome day...if i can figure out how to either pull stills from the video i got of the day, or figure out a way to post the vid....i will try..and update the post....oh yeah and got 3 more birds in the rain and fog, monday morning, me and my boy called three birds in who really wanted to go to the field behind us, i mean really, but when me and him get on the comback call, him on the EEEEaWWW, and me on the IT EWWWW, they cant resist, so the swung in low and landed 10 feet behind the pit, right in the pocket, and the three of us picked our birds and layed them out, all in one shot a piece, what an awesome way to start 2007, three dripping wet hunters hauling the first birds of the year back to the pit, if that wasnt a photo op i dont know what is...but all in all that day kicked ass too......
