View Full Version : Slotted Bags
Thinkin about buyin one to keep my duck floaters in so they last longer, and look better after a year of a normal decoy bag. I usually bring about two dozen into the field with me, even though I may not run em all, depending on how the days going. Ive never owned a slotted bag before, and never really looked at one. Im wondering if any would have big enough slots to hold two dozen decoys in one bag. There GHG Pro-Grades if that matters.
Anyone know if a twelve slot bag will hold two decoys per slot? Im not big on running two bags, because alot of the places I hunt require a long walk, and Im not big on making two trips. Or if I could get a goose decoy slotted bag and fit a few per slot?
Thanks fellas

I know we can get 2 GHG lesser geese in a slot and use a 6 slot bag...not sure three per will fit....try 2 small bags stuffed and both put into a large one (all made of mesh)..I hate when they bang together this seems to tighten them so they pack well...that's my suggestion..
I though about it futher and decided im just gonna use two, one bag with a dozen decoys and weights is gonna be pretty heavy, ill just have someone carry one and Ill carry the other

i run 2 life size floaters per slot and it works pretty well. put them in keel to keel so that the rubbing is mostly on the undersides. those bags arent really made for carrying very well but it beats makin a bunch of trips.

I would think the 12 slot for lesser GHG's would work. If cost is a factor on another board they had a link to gal named Dianne that has a website and makes and sells her own slotted bags. It's been awhile since I bought some but they seemed to be half of what DU bags go for.l

Try the Dakota Decoys slotted bag. I just picked one up and it should be able to meet your needs. It is well built, with plenty of space, and priced right. Hope this helps.
