AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlikeany of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing aboutyou.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensiveIvy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing withnovisible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youthgrowing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thusdon't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blamingothers.

You scare me because for over half your life you have alignedyourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuseto publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America 'crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European stylecountry where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care systemwith a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing onour own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays thegolden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you onyour wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys,O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Lou Pritchett

TRUE - CHECK: http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/youscareme.asp

This letter was sent to the NY Times but they never acknowledged it. Big surprise! Since it hit the internet, however, it has had over 500,000 hits. Keep it going. All that isnecessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing. It's happening right now.

From my views around campus alot of people voted blindly just because of the idea of making history with their vote and not basing it on any research. It will be interesting to see how the next couple of years turn out.

As a whole I would say the southern states did not elect Obama. But you would be surprised about how many older white southern democrats voted for him. Lots of older southern democrats vote completely democratic regardless of the morals or political views of the person running for office. Now those older people are going to screwed by Obamacare! I tried to tell the ones I knew but you can only spread the word so far. Sure not many Obama stickers on vehicles anymore in my little sleepy Mississippi town!

as do those that support republicans. i try to vote for who i think the best person is and by what they actually say or don't say. Problem is both parties tend to play to the fringe "nuts" and not to average america because talking points are easier on polarizing issues imo. i wont say 100% if its cause of obama or not but things do seem to be improving and i don't think anyone can argue about the fact that he inherited a mess from "Lil' Bush".

In a year, if the country is still together, Obama will be like a New Kids on the Block CD. Millions sold (votes received) and not one person you know will admit to owning one (voting for the guy).

It will be like 54 million people disappeared off the face of the earth.

Wait til you come back to MI, then tell me if things are improving. If they were, Granholm wouldn't be pushing for yet another unemployment extension that will carry on past the already stated 79 weeks. The mortgage stimulus is a joke, the health care plan that he's using your money to push, is a joke. Come on he's a joke.....Can't we all agree it's just a historical moment for him and that's all it will be....

things havent been good for michigan in decades and one guy isnt going to turn that around in a matter of months. the economy of the entire state needs to diversify for things to improve. my .02

Taxing businesses to death isn't a good recipe for improvement.

10-4 on that, or increasing property taxes on an already struggling environment to cover government spending....

Well, he did inherit a little mess, but congress had more democrats than republicans during Bush's last few years, so give him a LITTLE credit. He also had a tough first and second term i guess you could say.

He didn't inherit jack - I seem to remember him ASKING for the job. It wasn't thrust upon him like he is some reluctant participant.

Not that it has anything to do with Barack "I'm against freedom and all things Amercian" Obama but a Chicago radio station said that booze in IL, has an extra tax on it now. And it won't be marked on the receipt. They are making it look like the alcohol companies are raising their prices but their not. It's the state.

My view on things is Bush made a mess and Obama decided he was gonna try and fix it well hes not fixing jack and hes making things worse. Taxing is always going to be bi*ched about but money has to come from some where unfortunately. I personally didnt vote this last election i didnt like either one of the main canidates. I never liked Obama and i still dont and never will.
