Just wondering where you guys normally set your decoys when hunting from layout blinds, I hear some people say they put the decoys all around they blinds while others say to put the decoys out 20-25 yards from your blind so the birds are not really looking at your blind. I havent had any luck with the decoys close to my blind so far. What do you guys suggest, I really need some help. Thanks!

We usually put some around the layouts. Makes the geese feel more secure. We use a U or V shape spread with the layouts at the point. You want the geese to fly directly toward you to land and they will want to land in the center of the V. Most of the time we found they do not want to fly over decoys to land.
Like skinning a cat, there are many ways that work. This way works for us. Good luck.

DM have you ever skun a cat? I tried when I was 13 years old. Found a dead Siamese on the road by my house and had all of the neighbor kids over to watch me skin it out. Had my taxidermy book out and was just starting to cut it open when some kids mom comes into our garage and explains to us we should not be skinning out someones pet.

I still want to learn how to skin out a cat at least one way
