Mercy it has been a tough year. Even with the warm temps we are killing ducks everyday but not just wearing them out.
If anybody knows how to do a cold weather dance similiar to an indian rain dance could you teach me? I SWEAR IF ONE MORE MERGANSER COMES INTO MY DECOYS I AM GONNA SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it were not for gadwalls and hoodies and woodies our season would be terrible.:D:D

Here in Kansas Mergansers are a bonus bird. They do not count towards your daily duck bag limit. Is it the same in Tennessee?
ya call this winter!!! crap its 48 degrees here in michigan and its 11:30am

IM all against it guys. Its really starting to make me a lil angry. I mean you can wear less clothes but come on we dont have our late season duck hunts anymore. I actually sometimes enjoy the cold just because its normal in wisconsin. IM seing more duck and geese now after season than i did during season. I guess it was just to warm. We hunting 1 mornign for migrators i gueess we where in the right spot and have a south wind. Very hard to work the birds in though from 400 ft in the air. We ended up with 6. They warm temps is crap though.

I would just love some cold weather. It's so warm here in Iowa (40's and 50's) that the geese are only feeding in the evening....well basically at night. They start moving AFTER shooting time and land and feed well after shooting time and then fly back to their roosts (which are in city limits  ) in the dark. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!
Im gonna tell you how bad our goose season has been....last year I perssonally killed around 40 (5 banded) honkers on 2 a day limits. This year, I am under 20!!!   2 banded birds though 8) We did get the weather to get them here but we now do not have the weather to be able to really pound on 'em.
Duck season was a success though....last year I personally killed around 70 ducks so it was a good yera. But this year, I finished just under 100, lots of greenies too. :D STILL NO DUCK BANDS

Winter? Oh I almost forgot what cold weather felt like! Freakin El Ninyo sucks! Watch we're gonna have another ice storm in march like in '96 and all the ducks are gonna move on down after the season closes. (Knock on Wood)
