Goose Decoys

Just out of curiosity what brand of decoys do you guys use? Full bodys or shells? How many resters, sleepers, lookers, feeders? Me and nor-cal hunter are looking to build our own spread, just looking what I need to look at getting.

Movement and numbers is key especially when hunting the cacklers and lessers. I have had great luck in Colorado when we have three dozen big feet and a couple dozen shells to create numbers and intermix some full body moving averys and putting them in front so when the geese get close they see the best looking decoys. We normally have a dozen and a half averys. Shells are good when it is cold out and there is snow on the ground but when it is sunny and warm full bodies tend to work the best.

bigfoot flocked head full body's, 1/4 lookers, 1/2 feeders, 1/8 sleepers and finish it off with the resters. also some real geese pro series silhouettes. we also use bobble heads on our bigfoots
