Whats everyones feelings on this years weather? I've heard we're suppose to have a wet winter, but I guess any rain would be considered wet compared to what we've had the last 3 years here in California.

No doubt! I only hunted in the rain twice last year, pittifull really. Not only that we never even had the wind on the clear days. Our weather sucked last year. So i am hoping that the El Nino that they are predicting comes through for us. Not only for hunting but for the state in general. Our water levels are way down. We need it bad.

I think its gonna be a cold one here in the Upper Midwest, hopefully its cold for november, but i don't want it to freeze up early again.

I have no clue how the winter is going to be here, but its been more hot during early goose than it was all summer its seems. 80's every day. Misrable for hunting. But i guess 80's and being able to hunt is better than any other temp and not being able to.

That's the same thing we've had in Michigan, it was fairly cool all summer and then has been pretty darn warm since September 1st compared to normal.....Today/Tonight was perfect, nice sunny moderate day and a cool night.

I really hope the trend holds true they are predicting for the short range forecast of just a gradual cool down little by little, it will really make for a good season with the increase in duck numbers this year....but if what I have heard and what people "said" the Farmer's almanac calls for, you're right, its supposed to be a late arriving fall, but when it hits, its going to hit with a force.

it only got in the 90's for probably a week this year, and never hit the triple digits once. I have a feeling it is going to be a warm fall for us here in southern IL

Last years weather was wierd. I wasn't use to hunting in October in my bathing suit. The opener seems nice though
