We passed on several flocks in shootable range today and had several gangs come in while Mike was out chasing down a spirited cripple....ended up with 7 and a band...not a bad day with the couple hundred geese stacking up in a safe spot about 800 yards from us.
We might have scraped our way to a limit if we wanted to shoot the 30 yarders...still a fun morning considering it was 64 degrees. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid222/p8d6aafb68cef9a7d2f5d04a749c095e7/eb3ba45b.jpg

I'm jelous of you guys. good job on a day like today. We had a few thousand geese come off the quarries and lakes near our spot and not a single goose wanted anything to do with us. Not even as much as a look. The snows are here like crazy now too. Anyhow good job guys.
congrats on the ***elry and ganders 8)

Good going guys!!! So...you weren't shooting at geese that were 30 yards? What are you...crazy?? I woulda been unloading on 'em! I guess its your own choice how far you shoot. Youd definately killed more geese than I did today. :(

like Miller said with the weather like it is i would have been taken 30 yards shoots all day but it up to you how you shoot them but i've only had one bird with-in 30 yards in 3 weeks. but awsome job guys

I have some full freezers already....I usually won't shoot at birds that don't finish unless I have too....I just like to completely fool em....anyone can shoot em cirling the spread this time of year these wise birds are a challenge.

Where do you guys hunt at? We are around Mechanicsburg, and the geese dont fly until after shooting hours (4:55) We killed a few on friday at 4:53, and if we would have had 10 more minutes, it would have been a falling skies video.....Im hoping for some cold weather soon....
Good job!

I hunt 5 counties....I and about 12 of my buddies scout hard and log alot of road time and we always find the birds...there are 4 or 5 of us that scout the most and we hunt together the most...one fo the guys in the picture lives on the west shore in your area and hunts and scouts the Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Valley, Carlisle areas.
As far as specifically where I hunt Pennsylvania is about as specific as I like to get in a open forum!
Good to hear you fellas are into some birds!!

I did not want a specific spot, just wondered what area. I saw some guys out this weekend and thought it might be you. Yeah were doin ok well see what happens when the cold weather gets here, and I get a foiles call. That should help, that is if it ever does.

I didn't mean I didn't want to divulge the info to you....there are alot of dudes that surf these sites as a guest looking for info on spots....they can go onto any site and do a search for a town name and if they type mechanicsburg your post will come up...
