Dead Meat Mallard Question

I looked at one today at sportsmans Warehouse(would have bought it but didn't like the color) and my question is the insert on this call seemed to be very light weight compared to the smm and Tr is it made out of a different type of acrylic. almost felt like plastic. thanks for the help.

I have one in mallard green and it's all acrylic as it's supposed to be, including the insert. The dead giveaway in polycarbonate (plastic) is that you'll see a seam-line on each side of the barrel and/or insert from the mold in which the plastic was poured.

A truely great call. I recommend it with a double reed, but I would ask the shop to include a single reed wedge; consequently making your call more versatile. Good luck.

There was no line on it, so I know it isn't from a mold, but the insert part just felt real light weight, it was black, I just thought it might be a different grade or type of acrylic.

no they just turned them down thinner thats all, its all acrylic.
