I am looking to pick up 3 dozen new duck floaters. I am trying to decide between the Drake Double duty, Dakotas, G&H, or GHG Pro Grades. I do not want something I have to put in slotted bags and baby. I want to just be able to toss them in a wide-mouth bag and go.

Thanks.

I havent used them, but the Drakes look real nice.

If I were to buy some new ones, thats what Id go with, if nothing else just o give them a try.

I have some of the G&H pros, and theyre great decoys. The only thing I noticed with them, is after a year or so the swivel heads got kinda loose

Any of those are fine im sure its just a matter of which ones you like better. Ive never seen the drakes in person they look pretty good though. Ive used the avery and g&h they both are fine fine,i rarely bag them and they hold up fine. With any painted decoy you will always get some chips or flakes here and there but nothing the ducks will notice. Ive never hunted over the dakota mallards, but ive have held them and they are a good looking decoy and seem well built. I also use bigfoot mallards they are a good deke in my opinion.

Thanks for the info guys. Maybe I will pick up a few of the bigfoots and see how I like them. If they are as good as everyone says then they are what I am looking for.

Dakota just came out with flocked head mallards and still have standard heads as well. These decoys also come with a lifetime warranty against paint chipping or flaking or workmanship...

Nothing beats the BIGFOOt dekes if you just wanna abuse them, soft plastic and unbelievable tough paint, just dont get flocked heads!

Matt,

To answer your question. To the best of my knowledge, no they haven't been hunted yet. Unless used during an early Teal season.

Only way to find out what YOU are truly going to like, is to buy some of each and go from there.

I run nothing but GHG (except my BF floater honks) and have been very imopressed with them. I have'nt had any issue with the paint. Just the normal touchup at the end or begining of the season is all they've needed. All mine are 4 years old and look great to this day.
