That the photo winning the call contest was submitted after the original deadline. This is true. It has also been brought to my attention that I edited the deadline, this is also true. I did this to fit with Jeffs schedule so that he could judge the contest rather than me doing it. I didnt want to play favorites.

Now this has led to the integrity of FMI being questioned by a member of the forum. The integrity of the company over a FREE CALL giveaway.

This wasnt a decision made by Jeff, it was made by me. So, rather than have the integrity of myself or FMI be questioned I will do the following:

The membership of this forum will pick a winner that submitted before the deadline. Pro-Staff are still not eligible (thats that integrity thing again).

I will send the winner a call from my personal lanyard. I made the mistake, I'll buy the winner a call.

This will be the last free giveaway contest. We decided early on that these were for fun. We are giving prizes out for nothing so there is no reason for anyone to gripe. Well someone griped and now they end. Sorry about that.

You have until 7 pm Mountain Standard time on Monday to decide a new winner. The winner that Jeff chose will still recieve his call as well.

its not a matter of that. kelly extended the dead line to fit jeffs schedule, and jeff picked the winning picture that was posted after the dead line. jeffs the boss not kelly. none the less it was a mixup. as for some one bitching i dont see that, just someone making a statement that there was a mistake made! the way i see things is kelly has gone beyond the call of duty on his own free will at his own expence to keep the integrity of FMI and there people intact. and to keep good faith with all the forum members.

Kelly, you should keep your calls on your OWN lanyard. The free contest was righteous on the part of FMI and you do not need to go beyond that to prove anything.

the origional winner is still getting his call. but because of the mixup on the dates and so on, kelly asked us to pick a winner in the allowed time frame of the origional post. the time period which was ten days from the start of the tread.

its unfortunate that this had to happen for everyone. and kelly got caught in the middle,he had to go by jeffs request. the only thing kelly should have done was to extend the original dead line and lock it then.

also i have great respect for kelly to do this on his own free will, thats beyond the call of duty and shows his loyalty to FMI and all of us here.

Hey guys let me clear this up.

I extended the contest by my own decision. Jeff had nothing to do with it, hell he didnt even know about the contest until I called him and told him we needed to pick a winner. It took a couple of days for him to get a chance to do it so I extended the deadline. The way I figured it was the more of you guys I gave a chance at winning the better for all. Plus I was really enjoying the pics and wanted to see more.

Dont worry about who complained, it's really of no consequence.

I dont have a problem giving someone one of my calls. It will probably be my last Canadian Champs call. Get those votes in.

A great picture deserves to win regardless of a slight change in the timeline.

My Thoughts on this Topic are null and void because i entered this contest way before the deadline, with only mild photographs to post....honestly i would rather share these photos with all of you, and share my personal experiences with the people that mean the most to me, my FMI buddies, Max4MAtt, H20, Hammer, Kelly, Richie, Jayson, Gary and of course, the man that calms me down when i get outta line, Barry, as far as winning a free call, that was the last thing on my mind when i posted my pictures, yes it was for a contest, but we are a group of guys, and a couple girls, that enjoys the best sport known to man, now i know ive only been hunting waterfowl, seriously for two years now, but i have learned more in the past few months that ive been a part of this forum, than i have my entire hunting career, from shotgun loads to calls, to calling techniques to decoy placement, to the weather, to who knows what else, all i have to say is im glad to be part of such an awesome group of people, and im glad to have this many years of knowledge at my fingertips whenever i need help on anything, as far as H20 and what he said to Kelly, this is just my opinion guys im not trying to start anything.......

I look at it like this.....if a comp caller burns the light, what happens, Disqulified, no if ands or buts...., now do i think that the winner should be disqualified because he submitted his photo past the deadline, the small part of me that wanted to win says yes, but the moral side of me says, its an online contest, that FMI decided to do cause they are an awesome company, and prolly cause Kelly has so many damn calls laying around his house it makes me sick....other than that, who cares, he had an awesome pic, and he totally deserves the win, as far as Kelly giving up one of his own calls to make it right, thats his personal decsion just like it was his call to start the contest anyway, anyone that would question the integrity of this company needs to have the F-in head Examined, does the shop not do everything in their power to make sure you get your orders promply, does the prostaffers not give you their personal phone #rs when you have an issue you need worked out, Does Jeff Himself not stand in an FA or FMI booth at all kinds of shows across the country just to touch base with the people ( ALL OF US ) who made his company what it is today, i know from a personal experience that Jeff will do everything in his power to make sure that you are perfectly satisfied with whatever issue you might have, whether you old SMH is out of tune, or if you break your Brand New SMM 10mins after buying it....as for everyone else on here, please dont take this personally, this is just my outlook on a Company that i dearly love, and that i wish i could do more for, the only thing that might be better than winning a free call, is having hundreds of people to look up to, to turn to , to talk to, to brag with, and to hunt with, i do a lot of hunting by myself, but i realize thats what happens when your not brought up in this industry or in a family deeply rooted into waterfowling, but i know this One Day, i will be part of FMI.....wether you all like it or not...lol....one day i will be able to say that i am part of the best company on the market.....One Day..........

I have gone thru the pics, and i have to say Photo Quality Wise, Duckman4Ever has my Vote.. that pic of the dog on the bow with the Cypriss Trees in the background is awesome....

Now if i was to chose a Second place. H2Os photo of his little boy standing on top of the pit with the Meatgrinder to his lips has to be one of the best photos i have ever seen, how proud does he have be everytime he looks at that photo, make me almost jealous that hes not my dad, and that i had to learn this sport in my 20s alone, instead of learning tried and tru from birth, but we play the had we are delt, and im holding a lot of cards now, always remember Children are the Future of waterfowling, Dont Just Take a Kid Hunting....Teach them something while he or she out there, Morals, Traditions, Dirty Jokes, anything that will keep that Drive to maintain a lifestyle that few of us know, and a comrodary that few understand....thanks again for listening.....
