1 - Had I wanted this to be forum wide news I would have started a thread on it. I didn't (and still don't) see a need in involving a group of people in this discussion. At Kelly's request I am posting up my thoughts on the situation.
2 - I PM'ed Kelly with my thoughts on the contest. By no means was I whining about anything. I even stated in there that I didn't want it to come off like sour grapes, as that was not the case. I had an issue with the rules changing, and as a man I took it to the person. After all, why post rules if one is not going to follow them.
3 - I chose to handle it with a private message as I thought it was just that. A private conversation involving 2 adults. I should have known that this is where it was going to go and people would respond in a childish manner of name calling and the sorts.
4 - And most importantly, I never disagreed with the quality of the winning photo. It is a great picture, like so many others were.
5 - I congratulate when things are done right, and I speak my voice when I think things are done wrong. This is a case where I thought things were done wrong. Like I said. I THOUGHT. Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts. I took what I thought was wrong to the individual.
Barry - I appreciate your efforts in trying to keep this going in a positive direction. It is unfortunate that not everyone shares your same philosophy.
Kelly - Giving one of your calls away is above and beyond.
