View Full Version : Where would you rather hunt in the US

Can't believe I'm considering hunting in my career moves, but was wondering if I could get some advice on two places. Currently live in NW PA, and am considering moving to either Nashville, TN or Kansas City, MO. If you had your choice on these three places to waterfowl hunt, where would you go?

Money isnt everything, go where you and your family will be the happiest, weigh all options. I took a very large pay cut at my current job, but it was well worth it. We moved two years ago to be closer to my hunting ground so I wouldnt be gone over night so much and its been great.

Kansas City is a great place to live!!! There is great hunting North, South, East and West. The cities on the outskirts of town are better than living in KC.

Im 50 and have moved around a bit( my wifes fault)
Ive been able to find a home close to what I thought was good hunting in the region where we got our jobs.

I live in KC, well north of the River, not downtown KC. For waterfowl hunting, I don't think it gets much better than around here. We have the Missouri River right here, and the State of MO has a bunch of great public areas that are set up just for waterfowl. Not to mention tons of farm ground to hunt that is not far out of the city. I don't know what things are like in those other 2 areas but I love it here. That and you know the Mud Hole Duck Club that has been on Fallen Skies. Its only about 30 Min for where I live. But thats all just my opinion. I have was born and raised within an hour of KC, and moved here when I got a job down here so I guess its the only thing I know too. Just partial to it I guess.

If you go to Nashville you would give up duck hunting. I aint never hunted there but everyone is all jacked up when they shoot 3 ducks per day. Not my idea of a good morning. Head to MO.
