I have a couple, one single one double SS. The single is a great hail call and I use the double for closer feeder and drake calls...works well.

Side note on the SS. I have a single reed and I have had issues with the reed sticking. Does anyone of any tricks of the trade?

Either put Rain X on the tune board or lightly scuff up the tune board surface with sand paper

If you try the latter....do not scuff too much, will totally change the way the call blows.....a little means a lot when messing with a tone board.

I would suggest tuning it a bit harder or try not to be so spitty....lol

if ya blow pepsi, and snickers in your call it will stick.wash the call out with warm water and it will be alot better, be real carefull with the tone board scuffing, that could lead to real big problems.and like Nick said "try not to be so spitty" hahaha hope this helps ya............................R

since this thread was started, i tuned a mean street in a double reed for fun.....and i must say it is pretty damn good....i used a nail file and took some off the tone board.....mostly at the top.....but then found it sounds better in a TR barrell than a mean street.....gives it a little higher tone and a lil easier to blow and use as a double reed....

the Mean Street is very ducky comp call, i like the bottom more than the SS...it is more loose and bouncy (didn't know how else to describe it) with the feed chatter at the bottom end, and the top end ring will be easier for guys to get to....I think anyways.

guys need to pick this call up and start blowing in some comps with it....or if not, buy one and hunt with it....VERY impressed
