Well we went out on Saturday and had to break ice. We had an awesome shoot. Three of us went out and we ended up with 17 ducks and one goose. It sure was a mixed bag though. We shot 6 mallards(4 drakes, 2 hens), 6 ringnecks(5 drakes, 1 hen), 1 black duck, and 4 woodies(2 drakes, 2 hens). We saw a lot of migrating ducks and geese while hunting. Also the goose that we shot was out about 70 yards and we took 6 shots at it and I got on the call and hit it hard with comebacks and it swung right back around and it died with one shot. Ive never seen snow befor this early in October. When we were picking up all the decoys it was snowing pretty hard. Here are some pictures of the hunt:

My dad and I went out today to a little flooded timber spot and we bumped about 250 geese off the water when we walked in at shooting time. We killed 3 out of a flock that came right over us and then we sat there for a little bit longer and ended up killin 3 ducks(2 woodies, 1 GW teal). Then we left that spot and went out to our marsh and had a single goose way out that I called in and killed that. Did see a couple more ducks at our marsh but nothing would work. We had to break ice again this morning. The ice was about a half inch thick at our marsh around the edges. So we ended up with our limit of geese and 3 ducks. Not to bad of a weekend, just hoping that the marshes dont freeze all up and push all the birds out of the area.
