Think of it as preventative maitenance...Should we ignore the worlds problems so that we can have another 9/11? If you let a country grow with terrorists and allow governments to fund weapons on a large scale your only asking for it. Freedom isn't free and either is respect it's earned....So I support our soldiers...Everyone was for going over to the sandbox after 9/11 because they were angry and upset, we did the right thing, control needed to be taken, it's just taking more time but it's not like we're losing it's just a big sandbox with a lot of germs...

Do you not know who your largest trading partner is?? this whole buy America plan will screw over are trade agreement. that will cut out 45% or more of the essential goods you import ie: metals, lumber etc. You also don't thing that the stock market crash didn't affect the world in a negitive way? and the auto makers that collapsed didn't affect us in anyway? with Americas growth it can not self sustain itself, you screw over trading partners and then your left with nothing. That will lead to more layoff's and more debt to the country.

In the post 9/11 world, the US has taken a preventive war approach in terms of foreign policy. They have a hand in on the action anywhere there is a conflict. The War on Terror is proof of that.

Why it matters to people in Canada and the rest of the world is that it effects us, too.

I thought this was a waterfowl hunting forum? I'm with Mallardman on this one... go clean your decoys, rig up your boats, work on your calling, and go scouting. All I know is that I wake up every morning, eat my breakfast, get in my car, drive to work, work for 10 hours, drive home, eat supper with my family, hang out with my family, and go to bed. On the weekends I get my fix in by shooting a few ducks and geese and drinking a few cold one's. Through all of this I don't get shot at, don't have to worry about a bomb going off, and don't have to worry about wide spread sickness (H1N1 doesn't count...yet). America isn't so bad... I would love to see a Republican back in office, bush wasn't the answer nor is the lefty Obama, but most of us will live to see another day... Chill out and God Bless America.

And thank you to our troops. I agree with all that we are doing in our "preventative maintenence" worldwide.
