Lost a very good friend in the Del Bay yesterday.

I can't believe this....I hunt with Don all the time...I saw this post yesterday on another web site and never thought it was him...my buddy just called me now and told me. I hunting with him twice in the last 10 days. Don just turned 70 and hunts with a gang of 20-30 some year old guys from Waterfowler.com and huntingpa.com his username is odark30. I think his contemporaries couldn't keep up.
I just had the pleasure of hunting with him and his son who he hasn't hunted with in 20 years because he was home from Luxembourg for the holidays. He always said he wanted to die in the marsh...I just can't believe this.... He hunts geese and ducks here in PA with us and travels to MD and Del. literally every week and hunts alone in his sneak boat with his dog....the thought of him alone in the water with just his dog his a hard one to get out of my mind....I won't forget him...Here are few pics of Don from the last week....

this is him and his son Donald

goose...

soo sorry for your loss...yes, I read about that on a couple of local forums too....

a buddy of mine from PA also knew him....what a shame...

I have a buddy that's almost 70 that hunts on the bay and marshes all the time alone too....although he's trying not to go alone as much....I'm going out with him next Tuesday to try out my new sneakbox....

its never a good idea for any of us to be on the marsh alone....ANYTHING can happen....

SAFE AND HEALTHY HUNTING TO EVERYONE......

may God watch over us all.......
