Hoping I could get a couple suggestions from you guys, I have a dozen mallard decoys, a spinning wing decoy(with remote), and a few dozen goose decoys. When setting up in the field for ducks and geese, where should the duck decoys be? If I set up a half moon, with our blinds in the crest of the moon, where do I place the duck decoys and the spinning wing?

Mix in the ducks with the geese... kinda together. Put the spinning wing in the landing area in front of your blinds. Make sure you take the spinning wing out when the geese start to fly, it will flare the geese.

we keep them seperate the ducks we use a tight spread. the geese spread them out a little more. if the wind is heavy we'll place them a little further away from the blind. i have found when the wind is up ducks take a shallower pass. and getting them locked into a heavy wind they have to turn to retreat when you pull up on them. seems to slow them hopefully right over you head if you time it right. i have found when ducks hit their "oh sh*t" gear they can move away much quicker than geese. so putting them in your wheel house and using the wind so that slight pause when there trying to get away could help you. there are no obstructions in the air in fields so use your invisable partner (the wind) to capitilize on there natural way they use it....hope that helps

+1 to what Ryan said. Be quick on that remote for the spinner. Geese hate those things
