Is it really important to cover your SUB in mud when you cover it with stubble.

If you're going to be completely covering your blind with natural cover, you wouldn't have to mud your blind.
But if you only patch in natural cover on your blind, and the blind shows through the cover, its best to mud the blind because mud blends better than the blind color.
{not a staffer but ,mud the hell out of it , or paint it with a flat paint ...... the new fabric is shiny , also if ur gonna hunt a field with not so much cover , or a field where u may only b covering sections 2 simulate rows of a certain crop it is good 2 have it muddied up ........ i save some $ and buy the khaki blinds and paint them all earth brown with a mist of some other colors till i get it where i want it 2 b ....if anything do it so u won't have 2 later and it will b ready when u need it done ....

I always feel so bad when i take a $300 blind out of the box, put it together, and then cover it in mud. My mother would kill me.

Find a camo spray paint that is close to the color of the fields that you are hunting. Our fields in mn are typically dark so I use a very dark almost black color. Then spray paint the whole blind. That is a good base. If you use regular mud it will come off. Once the blind is painted then i will mud it. Next I paint rafia grass that you can get at your local craft store and tie it onto the stubble staps. That is a pretty good start.
Note this is just the base camo for your blinds. I still use stubble from the field the I'm hunting to blend in.
