WOW!!! I totally agree with you brother!!! thats rediculous. If the call maker wanted to he would sell those calls for those outragous prices. But the people selling these calls are trying to reap the benefits from that call maker! just isn't right!

The call is one of Jeffs 1st calls that he ever put into production. So it is very rare and very collectable. It is no different than someone selling an alvin taylor call, nice brass banded zink call or one of butch's early rnt calls. So if you don't like the price then you don't have to buy it. I know what it is worth and thats the price I set. So if it doesn't sell then it will stay on my call rack.

I agree with Brian, the call is worth what someone is willing to pay.

Thanks,Greg...Greg and I have both bought some very expensive calls for our calls racks and each one has been worth every dime

Price is what it is.
That said I have noticed the down ward slide of the prices the calls often go for from what the original price posted was,no matter how collectible the calls might be.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. One has the ability to buy a lot of calls out there for good prices. If you think that numbered calls are worthless, that just means more for me.

To me its like this, people collect alot of things. Anything you can think of is collected by someone. Some people pay hundreds of dollars for a certain year penny, try and spend it, its a penny. But to a collector its a whole lot more. I myself dont put calls on a shelf, but to each his own. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think the particular call were talking about is worth every bit of that, would I buy it? No, but I certainly understand why someone would.

The old saying What is junk for one person is a Treasure for someone else.
It all depends on what someone is willing to pay for what THEY WANT.

Just like when someone bought a piece of gun chewed by Louis Gonzalez for the Arizona Diamondbacks for 10 grand off ebay. Somethings have a high value to other people and will pay a premium price for it.

I totally agree $415 is ridiculous for a call...but if someone will pay for it...it is what it is. Personally I don't think anyone will pay anywhere near that for that call...but there are some calls out there that I would put a good bit of money down for.

Some people will pay a lot for a lot of things we would agree is out of line. But that's what they are willing to do. just watch barrett jackson...a prototype oldsmobile brought 3 million? At this point I wouldn't be willing to pay $400 for a call but that's me. If there is someone who will that's fine by me. I think it too much but its only money. I won't dog someone who's trying to get it either..but your point is valid thanks for bringing it up.
If i had the cash i would buy it. Why? Cuz 48 foiles calls on the rack would look better that 47. To each his own every one needs a hobbie and some of us are addicted to duck call.......ya it can be expensive but better than being hooked on crack or dope. Cant take the money with ya so might as well spend it.....wise man once told me his goal in life to to hace the last check he writes the day he dies bounce a mile high
