View Full Version : Migration Info
I am down in the St. Louis area. Can anyone give any accurate info on migration activity? What a crazy year with all this water and early cool weather! When the ducks do get here I think they will be so scattered with everything holding water. 75% of the crops are still in the field and might be there for awhile.

Most of the ducks are on the western side of the state right now. There are still alot of early ducks(pintail, teal, wigeon), but small migrations of mallards are starting to trickle in. There should be another small push this weekend. We are in the wettest Oct ever with almost 9.5 inches of rain and that has cause the farmers to leave the crops in the fields, but that is good cause they will be cut later so the big pushes will have something to stop and eat,so they should hang around longer. I know talking to the MO conservation dept. we should be a few weeks ahead but the ducks are hung up in the Dakotas. So it should make for an interesting weekend, but you better do your homework and scout or you may in up empty handed.
I hope that helps some what
