Yeah my dad and i were talking about falling in Wed. morning while we were out and what do you know. He fell in.....water up his jacket sleeve. Down the waders too. It was a cold morning. Something like high 20's. I laughed my ass off

I have fallen in, dropped expensive items, (one time a $2500 portable radio that belonged to the City of Springfield), and ruined electronics. I doubt their are too many waterfowlers that have hunted for 20 plus years that haven't fallen in  .
On the camera, I suggest you remove the batteries, do not turn it on, and dissasemble as much as you can, opening up all the card slots. and let it air dry. then take it in for cleaning, the water will most likely leave spots on the inside of the lens when it dries. If you are real brave, consider using some rubbing alcohol and an old tooth brush to clean the circuit boards, and connections, I did this last year or the year before to save my drunk laptop
Good luck with the camera.

I can relate to this. Friday morning I hunted the walk in down at Carlyle Lake in Carlyle, IL. This was my first time hunting there. There were no signs marked anywhere soi found a spot that looked good, so I thought. I went from water up to my knees to water over my head in about 1 second. Needless to say this was at 4 AM. I was able to stand the cold for 2 hours.....but only killed ONE duck!!!
the only time i ever got wet was surf fishing on lake mighigan 3-5 footers and had a roller crash me on the way back to the beach from casting. :x

Make sure you dry that camera out real well. If it has moister on the circuit board you can short it out by turning it on.
