Well ,when he was already a good caller and switch to an easier blowing call, you're results are gonna be good. Becasue Sean was already awesome on a Zink, when he made switch to Foiles that jsut made him that much better. In my opinion. Because in my opinion, Foiles calls are way easier to blow that Zinks.

thanks guys... i have been out of the game for about a year because of business decisions... but now i am back and plan of winning a lot more in 2006.... i guess i will just make all the other callers work a lot harder to win then they did in 2005... I plan on traveling to a bunch of contests this year, hope to see ya around.... sean~~

sean, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your start in goose calling? Who were your influences?

i got started calling all by myself... when i was young there was nobody to help me out, no father or piers to look up to.... it was all me wanting to get the birds closer to shoot.... BUT, as for contest calling and when i was already half way developed, i looked up to Fred Zink alot.... always watching him on whistling wings and other shows....also i used to like Grounds as well, just because he was the very first person i ever heard to acutally sound like geese on a call(half breed) ... about 8 years ago..... .......... . .. as for why i switched, it was a business decision to better myself in the outdoor industry... i have no personal hard feelings with Zink, i still like the guy very much... and talk to him .... the industry is too small to burn bridges everywhere you go, not saying it doesnt happen , but i will try to keep the burning to a minimum.... i just had to keep moving foward instead of waiting around.... sean~~

goose callin its the strait meat honker with a competition insert. and for ducks its the strait street. im sure some guys use the strait meat mallard but im pretty sure the callin team uses strait street.

not to sound like a dumb redneck :? but what is the diff. in the inserts??

The comp. insert is bored out more to be louder, and requires a little more back pressure. It isn't necessary though.

Definitely the SS on the duck side, it is much louder and has a fuller ring than than the SMM, but that is what the SS was built for. The comp goose insert is longer, louder, and requires a touch more air than the stock SMH. I know the Grinder tried the HPH before(usually blows SMH), and I seen Jarrod blow a MH a few times, but a majority blow the SMH.
