What kind of decoy wights do you fellas use because I got some new GHG magnum mallards for christmas and I do not want to scratch the paint on the heads all to hell with the lead strap anchors that I currently use. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ace anchors
What he said
You could get some 'Plasti-Dip' @ the hardware store and dip the straps in the can a couple of times. It's the stuff tool companies use to coat the handles on pliers etc.It comes in blk. and green .The "Ace" anchors are good too. The H style anchors work good also, you wrap the line around the anchor and throw a half hitch w/ the cord on one of the "ears" to adjust depth.

Well we still use old spark plugs some of the time, But the weights we use are the flexible lead ones we just bend them around the keel...

Another vote for Ace Anchors, but I'm going to expand on this a bit (Im bored  )
Ace anchors come in 4 or 8 oz. styles. I would think the 4 oz. ones would work fine for mag duck decoys. I have 4 ouncers on my GHG lifesize pintails and that is plenty. When your hands are cold and you dont have gloves, it's still quick and easy to get the the straps around the keels. Me and dekker (iawaterfowler88) hunted a local marsh around thanksgiving one day and it was pretty nipply out  . Anyway, we have some of my dekes and some of his out, all with ace anchors. We picked all 4 dozen dekes up in I'd say about 5 minutes, maybe less.
