First and foremost I use Foiles calls a 100%. But I blew a RNT Daisey cutter the other day at Cabelas for the hell of it and it sounded good. Does anybody use them for duck hunting and like them. Thanks Todd

i don't own one but i tried one and i think it would be too loud for hunting - but good for comps.

I think your thinking of an MVP. The Daisey is pretty soft really.

I have blown a daisy cutter and liked it. Just don't have one. There is a kid on my DU banquet committee that lives by those calls. He blows a RNT MVP, for competitions at least. He got 2nd at state last year, in the 13-17 age group.

rnt calls sound really good, but they have a real tendency to stick a lot.

I had a short barrell and it would always stick, so I sold it and bought a timber rattler.

Not near as much as the short barrel. And trust me their are a lot of other guys that will say the same thing about rnt.

You're right it is just a personal preference, and I would be the 1st to admit that rnt is one of the best sounding duck calls on the market. I've just had better luck with foiles and echo for some reason.

A few of my buddies work at a small sporting goods store and I blew an MVP a few weeks ago. I really didn't think it was that loud. Do you RNT guys think it is louder thatn a SMM single reed? Because I had my smm as a single reed for 3 years up until this year, and it's loud as hell if ya ask me.

I have owned a couple of rnt calls. I have never blown the daisy cutter but everyone I know that has one loves it. I to had the same problem with my short barrel sticking, but my original was awesome. I mainly blow a TR and have nto had any sticking problems. It is a personal preference thing. I have had and tried most of the big name guys calls, and give Foiles big props. They are my favorite calls. Nothing wrong with the other guys though.

I've had a DC since they first came out and it's the call I go to everyday for any situation. It'll get up in volume, but it's not a contest ringer. It'll also come down real soft too. Very versatile call and honestly one that has stuck on me only a couple of times since I've had it. I know the ol' song and dance about RNTs stickin' like glue and I used to have problems with a couple of originals as well, but the DC that I've got and my wood Timbre have really been pretty stick proof. I guess I just got lucky.

I'm hoping to give a new DMM a try, as well as another TR, in the near future.

i just traded a SS for an mvp wanted to try somethin new, and that ss would stick really bad, i've put alota hours into the MVp so far and it hasnt stuck once! i cant believe it. but i think im gonna sell it and buy a new ss cause i like the engraving.

I have the RNT Cocobola/Poloy duck call which sounds pretty decent. I keep it in my bag in the event my DMM-DR goes belly up. I haven't blown a Daisy Cutter but it certainly has a great reputation.

I'm very monogamous to my DMM. So far it's the most versatile call I've heard.

I own the daisy cutter and I love it. It is smooth and does not have the contest ring on the top. I cant wait unitl next season to use it!!!
