Man, thats so early for those things to be in the midwest, let alone Nebraska!! I wasnt really planning on heading to my dad's until the weekend of the 18th and 19th of February because that is the Iowa State Duck and Goose calling contest. Might have to head down a week or two early if the boys are killing. I dont know though. Usually we dont even start hunting until at least the first week in Feb. And usually we see geese for a week or two before getting a shot. All those damn adult birds come through first and they hardly even look at our spread of 6 or 7 thousand decoys!! And we dont use any texas rags anymore. Shells, full bodies, sillouettes, windsocks with heads.

I saw a few thousand snows this weekend just being around the house. They are moving through west central illinois at a decent clip right now. I'll be out there chasin' 'em this weekend...you can count on it!
