What a day, 3 grown men one more pissed off than the next. We all went in and picked up a trailer, 225 Dakotas and 3 Zink Finisher blinds. My one friend is a criminal lawyer after he got back from Vietnam in 70 he worked as a carpenter while going to law school rasied in a welding shop. Big Tommy has a dumpster and garbage business since high school he's a guy I go to when I have mechanical issues since he loves working in his shop. Me I have a computer networking business and run several miles of wire a week, I have a manager run my business since I like to go out in the field and work. So there's a little back ground.

Tom and loophole did a bang up job creating racks, stove area, breasting hitch in the front, heat. Me I wired it for lights, generator. The last part was to set up the blinds, those things just suck. From the crappy threading for the screws, the head support pops out, the cover up doors don't stay down. We ended up having to drill holes and use bolts for the screws, the head rest had to bolted in since everytime you get up 2 of the 3 blinds the head rest pops off.
Now the doors don't close properly all on the right hand side. The friggen thing is so tight that the zippers won't open and not dare to screw with the POS zippers.

Now here's the thing I like. When you lay in it and shut the door the wire that holds up the screen slaps you in the face, who ever designed that thing, then layed it on the floor and admired there work has to be the biggest dummy and laughed all the way to the bank.

So if you were going to buy a blind and have it delivered by Wens and figure out how to work it by sat opener let me know. But we did have some good laughs today after the anger mngt class.

man, I havent had any of those problems with mine. maybe you just didnt set them up right or adjust them right. or they were a bad batch or something.

Ive had mine for about 4 years now, my dad also has one he bought at the same time, and neither of us have had a problem.

If I had a complaint it would be that the head rest isnt padded enuff and that they shouldnt of added the stubble straps across the zipper for the boot bag.

BC,

It is weird you had issues with the finisher, I have been running mine for 5 years, yes the head rest pops out once in awhile but it's because the ground is so unlevel and its from me usually jumping out of it. The screws shouldn't be loose either, I have ran into a lot of loose screws on other blinds.. Nice to see you bought a mountain of Dakotas! PM if you need help with anything and I'll drop you my number....

That lawyer figured it out. The cable on the right hand side was about 2 inches shorter than the left. I guess it was putting pressure all the way around the frame. They rigged up something and claim there working.

same here, i got my finisher the first year they came out with them over 8 or 9 years ago and liked them so much have bought 2 more since, and never had any problems except when the material shifts and the doors become a lil tight. All you gotta do is shift the material back.

While I love my Finisher blind for the visibility and comfort, I have to agree with some of the assembly frustration. In particular, the headrest would always pop off when exiting the blind. I've since drilled holes and added hitch pins which keeps it in place and makes it easier to fold the blind down at the end of the hunt.

On the bottom part of the blind, on the frame where the material is wrapped with velcro, I just undone mine, because I was having one hell of a time putting together and taking it down, and that solved the door problem as well......
