What gun do you like for duck and goose hunting and why?

SBE II.....inertia driven, great patterns, can take the abuse of 100+ hunt seasons (two states) and trap throughout the summer months, and it fits me well...very comfortable to mount and shoot.
winchester super X2 all the way!!!!! had a couple nelli's SBEI and SBEII a couple probs with the nelli's but the X2 fits my needs the best

I shoot a Remington 870 Super Mag. Never ever had a problem with it. I shoot ducks and geese in the fall , and hunt wild turkeys in the spring with it. If I had the $$$$ I would buy a SBE because I have heard nothing but good about it and it is semi auto. They cost just over $2000 dollars canadian and that is a hell of alot of money. Someday I will have one. 8) 8)

I love my Beretta Extrema 2 for waterfowl. It will cycle any type of shell and continue to function in the wettest and harshest conditions.

is it better to start with your first 12ga. as a pump or semi - or just personal preference?

I've shot an SBE for several seasons now, with absolutely no problems, except it shows surface rust really easy if you don't get it home and clean it up REALLY quick after it gets rained on.

well i havent shot but one of those guns on there and my gun wasnt on there, i shoot a mossberg 535 3 1/2" pump. But m yhad has the Remington 11-87 and i really like it. It swings great and you can move from target to target really good. I think i am going to get either a super x2 or x3, or a used benelli sbe I or II. Possibly even a Benelli nova or supernova.

I absoulutly love the magazine cutoff espcially when I am pheasant hunting. It is so nice flipping a switch and having all your shells stay in your magazine.

I shoot a benelli M1 for everything and have yet to have a problem. And it has been through everything (I took a spill on opening day with it) it works fine for killing geese and ducks. It patterns great too. Althought it does show surface rust on the barrel after a weekend of wet hunting conditions but gun oil takes it off fine.

Ive been savin up for a lh super black eagle 2 and am wondering if I should get camo or blk. Ive heard that camo is better about not getting rust, is this true?
definatly spend the extra for camo if ya can afford it, it does make a huge differance not having to worry about the blueing rusting. its like a second skin.

I have the LH SBE2 def. worth the extra $$$ for the camo! Top it all off with a Patternmaster and you will have the best gun in water fowl, IMO!

I have a sbe (older h&k model ) and a Browning gold ,used to have a x2. All great guns, comes down to what fits the best and whatever you feel comfortable with. There are more differences between the x2 and the Gold than just the mag. cut-off, The x2 has a much taller rib, the gold has a larger triangle shaped safety , the Gold has 2 piece carrier and the speed load.

I believe Browning fixed this problem shortly after. Got my money back and bought an X2 no problems. shooting an X3 now, still no problems :)

Ya I have the ocasional problem with it not ejecting or loading my shell all the way. I am going to put a Sure cycle in it this fall hopefully that will fix the problem.
ive got two golds 1 ten yrs old and the other around 8 yrs old , plus a super X2 going on 4 yrs old never had any problems....................

my x2 never did like dove loads, course it was 3.5 chamber so that didnt help any..when I bougt the Gold I went with the 3 inch and its been perfect ... (dont really need a 3.5 anymore where I hunt ) If your having trouble I would give Browning a shot at fixin it,before i tried a surecyle, first its prolly gonna void the warranty..and second its alot cheaper to replace the stock spring...whick should work fine....good luck..

I've got a SBEII and an M2 (both Max 4)...the M2 is used a lot in the duck pits/blinds, SBEII is for the honkers and specs. Besides the inertia driven bolt, I like how easy they are to clean.

SBE II LH Max-4 & Remington SP-10.
Ilove them both! I used the Benelli M4 in Iraq a few times and fell in love with the way it cycled and how soft it kicked.
