Has anyone used the 2 blade rages? I shot a little buck quartering away and it only went into him like 2 inches. never found him but when i found my broadhead was dull and all of my rages are dull

i have not personally shot a deer with a rage but many of my buddys have and sometimes ther devistating. If u hit a good soft spot they will leave a hole big enough to put your fist thew, a blood trail that ray charles could follow, its awsome. But if u hit bone , judt like u said very little penitration. Buddy had the same prob

i just shot one last weekend at about 25 yards...it hit a rib and still went all the way through it. i also could of fit my fist through the hole on each side. it only ran about 30 yards too.

ditto with randy, ive shot both the 2 blade and 3 blade from my DXT and they were complete pass thru's with HUGE wound channels. Havent had that problem, hope it works out for ya, they are great broadheads imo.

Personally, I think they're garbage. I haven't shot them since they first came out...maybe they've improved them. The tip curled when I shot a bear, so I got very little penetration...I assume it hit a rib or something. The blades scored the ferrule all the way into the insert, making it almost impossible to unscrew them. After the bear, I used the rest on groundhogs. They do work great on groundhogs:p

My dad and I both shoot them, and have been using them since they came out. We have never had any trouble. They leave a huge hole like said above. They haven't all passed all the way through, but have all had plenty of penatration to do the job. None of them have gone more than a 100 yards.
i heard there awesome ! for me if i was 2 bow hunt again i'd stick with my 100gr. muzzy's ........... i've never had 2 worry about bone with those chisel points :D

Rages work great if you hit soft tissue and ribs, not so much on the shoulders. I shot a big 9 last week and had amazing blood until the arrow came out, then it was very sparse but he only went 70 yrds. I would reccomend rages, you may also want to look into G5 tekans very good head as well.

well i to have not used them use the NAP Spitfires or what ever and shot low and it broke femer and stick in far shoulder. The head was in good shape. But i switched to Muzzy's again shot a buck today and passed threw and buck ran maybe 30 yards and watched him fall.

I shot an 8 pointer a few weeks ago with a rage 2 blade. Hit him high and forward and the arrow still went in a good 10-12 inches. The broad head did break off at the tip of the arrow but the deer still dropped in his tracks. I will continue to use them!

A couple of my buddies shoot rage and have good luck with them. I shoot Muzzy's and have never had an issue with them; so I will stay with them. If it's not broke don't fix it I guess.

I'm shooting the G5 stryker with pretty good results, flys well and is really sharp.. i shot Rage two years ago and shot a couple deer.. they did ok but i had the same problem with penetration
the first year they came out they had a recall on them about halfway through the season...bayme you got some of the old ones they were having problems.

i doubt that it hit a rib and bounced out, not with todays bows, unless it was a recurve or long bow, then maybe!

Last year I used rage and regret it. I shot at an 8 point quarting away. Mathews DXT set at 70lbs. The arrow hit a bone and bounced out and downward. To me these just look cheap, but I have freinds that use them and swear by them. I switched back to G5 montecs, and I'm happy with there quality. For now on if I don't use G5's then I'm using Muzzy's. problem solved.

They do have a great marketing gimmick. Pay every professonal they can to say they love them. I know a guy in the buisness. Many of his staffers wouldn't shoot the broadheads that sponsored them! They would just make sure all the before and after clips had them on. Read the Cabelas reviews, a lot of the broadheads you've heard a lot less about score a lot higher. I prefer the most simple design I can get. Mechanical broadheads is just one more thing that could go wrong. JMO. No offense to you guys that love em.

Yea, if i was to go back to a mechanical, I would probably go with the tekans. How true is the flight on those. They do look like a better built mechanical. But until then.... fixed blade for me.

Great arrow flight. They aren't a ficed blade as far as bone hits go but they are better than a rage in that reguard
