Herters Unpainted decoy, Worth it or no?

I am thinking about getting the Herter's unpainted decoys(my wife is really good at that kinda crap and she said she would paint them for me). Has anyone used these and how are they as far as using them in water with current such as rivers and tidal water. Do they pull under in current. Anyhow, any info would be great. Thanks

if you have the talent and the time go for it . theres nothing like making your own deeks and having them work! its just like learning to blow your call and training your dog its a labor of love. if i had the time id do it.
so by all means go for it i would.

I also thought about getting these some time. I think it would be really easy to make them into divers but puddle ducks would be tricky.

yea i bought 8 doz and made them into a big scoter rig they work great its the best diver rig iv ever had
