Does anyone think that this weather moving into the middle of the Mississippi river area will get the birds moving yet?

It's hard to say. It mite be the pessimism in me, seeing how our duck season blew (and ended today) but what needs to happen is for Canada to freeze up. There talking colder temperatures but it's still getting above freezing during the day in Canada so it mite be a while yet. The system should push some birds but I wouldn't expect a huge migration.

Are season will end 12/10 I can only hope for an Artic Clipper that we used to get. For us SOUTH EAST Iowa has been slow a few days but nothing great.

Ours will be half over Sunday and our harvest is down 70% so we hope so too.

We are a week and a half into our season. Hunting in 70 degree weather with south winds just is not appealing to me haha. They way I figure it, any front small or big can't hurt our duck numbers!!!

It's been raining pretty good here started yesterday. Calling for cold and snow tomorrow. Hopefully it will last.

I really hope this weather moves something down. We are out of ducks. Hunted both saturday and sunday and SAW not shot a total of 4 ducks. I'm supposed to take my nephews on their first duck hunt on friday so I hope something came with this weather or the only thing they're going to remember about their first duck hunting trip will be the breakfast :)

We have snow in our forcast up here which is great!! I have reports that there are alot of geese north of us yet. A little snow and a little freeze up will push alot of birds to our refuge in Rochester. I got a report that we are holding about 28k which is lower than nomal. Our problem has been with the warm temps the geese have been feeding on grass in the city. With cold temps and snow these next few days could be pretty good.

I went out this mourn and had a few ducks work and picked up a bunch of new geese. The wind was bad for the geese they had too much time to look at the blind and kept landing about 70 yards out. I got pissed and move some dekes while I was out in the boat I had a flock 30 that took 4 passes. Locals would never do that this late.

I have to say it will have to be a big time steady blast in Canada before we see anything... It's way to late and we only have a few weeks left here, pretty much a wash. Have a decent amount of geese but nothing to write home about...Ducks, can someone give me a description, I don't remember what they look like:confused:

I live in Western Minnesota. A TON of geese moved down today. I mean a TON! Some mallards but not that many.

The majority of the geese left here but man I seen the ducks today. Three monster flocks a mile high made some beutiful tornados about 1000 yards from my blind, Im not sure if there gonna stick around but it was nice to see.
