well i returned yesterday from my first trip out past IL . we got 2 kansas and got a late start headin 2 the huntin spot , our first duck hunt was an evenin hunt .....we set up and watched i'm guessin 20-30,000 mallards { of course i'm not sure } lift off a refuge and drop back down , we had a group of guys sittin out infront of us about 300yards that showed up right before the birds lifted , when they did they came up with the snows and filled the sky for a good 1 hr , or 1hr 1/2 , i've never saw so many ducks/geese in the air at 1 time in my life and u could almost feel the noise of there wings along with the quacks as they flew over ...... the fellas up in front of us shy busted a few snows a aa couple ducks but in reality we had no shots from where we were so we never even had anything in range but just the sight was amazing ....... after that i think we saw mayb 6-10 mallards the rest of the time hunting and no canadians till mid week when a front came in and brought a ton of lesser we were able 2 put the smack down on .
rest of the time we spent working like fools at what seemed 2 b local birds cause they were well educated to the sport .
we shot , red heads , blue/green wings , a couple mallards , golden eyes , shovelers , snows , and the lessors we had a camera get damaged but here are some cell pics till we figure out the camera situation
