Hi guys, can anyone tell me the difference between a Straight meat honker, and the showtime? I'm gonna 1 of the 2.

I'm looking for a call that I can set up to be light to blow, and fairly quick, for double clucks etc, looking for a little higher pitch too.

If I had the $$$ I'd just buy both, but, it's not worth being in the doghouse over. Thanks, guys. Skip.

smh is alittle softer of a call compared 2 the showtime { bolth can b tunned similar though } the showtime is faster then the smh and with the open bore and longer insert it is alot louder call { again can b tunned soft and low as well }, if ur lookin for the faster of the 2 i'd go with the showtime , or in my opinion if u wanna go alittle inbetween a high plains honker may b a good choice as well .
s.time is longer , more open bore { bigger air exit hole in insert } faster , shorter barrel , thinner barrel around mouth piece area ........ again bolth can b tunned light or heavy when u talk of the amount of air pressure to break over the reed ... hope this helps a bit . either choice u'll b happy with .

I have found my showtime to be much more versatile in tuning...from easy to blow, fast and soft, to louder, and still very fast. it is high pitched either way I tune it, but the SMH is much, much, much more "goosey" sounding. I like my SMH, but it sounds like you may need a showtime....my SMH is all flamed hedge, and I have blown several acrylics and they are the same way.

Wow, another Skip... From ON too.. Funny I go by that name. Anyway SMH does sound a lil goosier than the showtime. I bought a wood showtime earlier on an amazing deal and yes it's alot faster than the SMH. I definitely agree what is being said here. Other than that I like both of 'em. Will likely get an HPH later on just to try it out.. Anyway good day Skip........

From my experience the ST has more range, volume and pitch control. Ive only been running it for about 2 weeks now and its awesome. The ST is faster too. You can easily control the volume by restricting the insert with your finger. The ST will give you some real dirty lows too. I really like both the SMH and the ST, I think im on the ST kick right now though. MH will be next on the lanyard. :D
