Weather finally gets here

Well, it the middle of Jan and we just got our first real push of migrators for the season. Oregon and Wash just froze up last week and the birds promply showed up.

We've been in the 50 and 60's for the last 2.5 months. Last week it was in the teens and 20's. Had to break ice for the first time since 1994 last week.

Have you guys in the lower parts of the middle flyways had a real late migration? When I was in Canada this Sept. the migration was a little late as well.

Hopefully the last two weeks of the season will be red hot

dont think we got one here on michigan or at least i didnt see any ,just a couple flocks of snows thats it. and they just kept on going.

Had one nice wave of ducks here but that was a week before late season came in. We finally got some cold weather right now and some new ducks are showing up. Still trying to shoot the same damn geese since September though.

yea we had a real late migration very few birds until about a week ago :(

thats a good? barry do you guys still have very many dark geese up there still? cuz if not idk where they are. we should be loaded by now. but we got some dont get me wrong but still should have more. or northern IL they up there?

man i aint see nothin, i mean not a one!!!! dont know whats up, just checked with a couple buds north and south of me...... nothing , no divers ,ganders,snows.. nothin.. to tell ya the truth only seen some locals and there scarce to..............

word on the street is lot of birds in norther IL yet. we dont get another front out of the north with some weather we wont ever see them this year. i was in springfield 2 weeks ago and coudlnt get over how few birds i saw. lot of ducks but hardly any geese. there was a butt load of mallards by the cingular buildin on wabash.

my grandpal works out that way he tells me about them all the time. he gets pissed off sittin at work watchin the darn things. but we need them northern IL birds to move this way so we can have an awsome last 2 weeks. thanks for the info guys
