I have heard they make a world of difference. At the end of this season I'm going to have one made for way less $.
Mine will be going in a Browning Gold Hunter 3 1/2".

Let me get this straight, they make a world of difference. How so.
You replace the factory parts with stainless parts and the same spring. I always get on the same topics. If Benelli took note they would change the way the spring is replaced, so guys did screw up there guns with heat. Why that set up is just about JB welded on there is beyond me and bunch of people also.
Strip and clean your gun yearly, that means break it down. If your shooting alot replace the mainspring and lube.
The only thing I am missing is a ported, studded shiney choke tube on the end of my gun, someday I will have find Nirvana.

Like stated before....... I HEARD....
I'm having mine made with a stainless spring also. Gonna cost me about $100 less than ordering from sure cycle and only getting the tube.
If you want to talk maintenance... I have stripped and cleaned and everything in between with my gun. Guess what.... it isn't always the answer when you're hunting in crap weather. Thing still go wrong over time.

I rarely clean my guns during the season and I just don't get all these issues many complain about. I hunt alot of salt water also, but for some reason I have a hard time believing what bad conditions are. In one sentence many say the Benelli is the most reliable gun out there, then there changing everything.
My waterfowl guns are made up if Benelli's, Beretta's and a Parker with Baker barrels. Out of them all the M2 gives me the most problems, like not ejecting every 100 rounds.
First time I have heard of a browing going astray. My friend has the 3.5 version and that thing is battle proven. His is an early version with the steel reciever.

Would you claim the lighter they have started making these semis the increase of a malfunction grows higher?

Now that's a good question. Here's a shot of a Beretta 390 not the best pic but this one has about 109k rounds through it. You can see the lower part of the ejection port getting chewed away. But this one shoots like the day I bought it. It has been to Coles guns in Maine every year for a tune up. So does steel make a gun any better IDUNNO

I do like my Beretta's and the 390-391 is just a fun gun to shoot, I have had them down in south america shooting almost 2250 rounds a day
and never cleaning for 2 days. That is what I call abuse, so much I had one that I shot the piss out of it for about 2 hours straight. I had 2 loaders that day I'd shoot one gun the hand it to the loader and shoot the other. ABout 2 hours in the one was so hot the wood was hot. Of course I was wearing leather roping gloves. But when I went to clean it there was a slight bulge in the barrel right at about where the shell opens. Must have acted like a torch and I still shot that gun. Once again that is abuse and you'll never see a Benelli handle that much punishment in a day.

Oh if Beretta only made a left handed gun.

They do just swap out the safety. I shoot lefty myself so i picked up my first left handed semi SBEII To bad the bolt button is on the right. It's a PIA. When the shooting gets fast and furius i keep a shell in between my pinky and ring fingers on my right hand. I can drop the gun drop it in and I have a oversize bolt handle on my Berettas you can get a shot of in a second. Just slap it.
Now with this left handed gun you need to either reach over with your left hand or use 2 hands. I miss my right handed M2

I've found the sure cycle spring to be much stiffer than stock, or even substantially stiffer than the Wolf heavy duty spring. That said, the sure cycle will compromise your ability to shoot light loads for sure.
the Sure Cycle locks up like a bear trap, clean or dirty, so it won't be prone to coming out of battery if you set the gun down a little firmly or bump the bolt handle, but the Wolf will serve you more than fine.

Does the Wolfe come fully assembled? Because my whole assembly now is shot, I tried heating the retaining screw lightly to change the spring and it would break free, more heat ended up melting the guts..Proly will just send it back to benelli....the work order is already prepared for a warranty fix..Just hate being away from my gun for 4-6 weeks...
Oh if Beretta only made a left handed gun.i agree !! i should of just got another 686 o/u ! i was shootin an ii-87 {right hand } and kept gettin powder under my glasses and in my eye . may off been the reloads but i figure with only 1 eye left i'll buy the left handed ..

I had a beretta xt2 and LOVED it......got powder in my eye one to many times and went with the lefty benelli. Would go back in a heartbeat if they would just put out a left handed model. I often wonder just how many customers beretta loses by not just making a lefty gun.

Um - how does melting your gun with a torch qualify as a warranty issue??:D
You can buy a new spring tube and tube separately -not sure what Brownells gets for the tube...the one for my Browning cost me $30...

I have that barrel I should take a picture of that mess.
Don't wish to hard since I feel Beretta would never make a lefty. It's easy for there Benelli line up since all they do mill the other side of the barrel action area.
You guys talk about Break opens hell there all made for righty's look at beretta's palm swell for the right then you want wood for a lefty it's gonna cost ya. That's why I swing trap guns, with straight stocks. I have a few of the Caesar Guerini Summits for another 300 they will make them with true left handed wood. 32" barrels is just a wonderful green head rocker.

Didn't melt with a torch...started with a bic lighter then a butane lighter.....The reason why it's a warranty is because that's what one of the customer service reps told me to do....And it's wrong...They said that anyone that does this is the impromper way and that theres a fixture used to remove the retaining nut...Just checked brownells 150 for the full assembly...
Either way the way I look at it, no matter how much heat I were to put to it, still won't break loose that right there is a problem...
