Who out there is going to put in for Elk this year?

I have a foursome that is going to apply in Arizona for the early archery season. I got to go out in 2005 and I tell you it was awesome. I missed a real nice 6 x 6 at a little over 60 yards. It was an awesome experience.

Don't have to put in for them here. Over the counter tag. Hard animals to hunt. Good luck.

I will definately be elk hunting this fall, but in Montana we do not have to draw tags. The bow season is sept. 2 -oct 15 and rifle oct 21 - nov 26 (give or take a day). It is all over the counter and i think the tag was 20 bucks last year. Your lucky you drew AZ - thats where the monsters are. Nothing beats a screaming bull elk.

my crew is putting in for Az once again maybe this year well might have a chance to bow hunt for a monster.

AZ raised there prices this year to 595 plus 151 for a hunting license which you have to buy regardless of being drawn or not. They also changed the date for submitting applications to Feb 13. Good Luck on the draw, maybe we'll see you there.

I have been trying to get a Rosevelt the last few years but they live in the thick and nasty.
