Iowa Killing Crew Colorado trip update

We got out today and had a damn good morning shot 15 geese and a bonus mallard. Great all around hunt on day 1. Geese flew at 9:40 and we got our limit by 11:10. Lets wack em tomorrow

nice work on day 1 but the best thing is theres more to come for you guys...i'm takin a trip next year i could aonly afford to go to canada this year and not both but next year im hittin up both for sure...i already got the money in a seperate bank account...now just the long wait till september...are you guys huntin through stillwater?

In response to the questions:


Stillwater-no they are hunting with me and 1316 Maulers in our private leases

As far as having no geese along the front range-BS we saw at least 25,000 geese today and had damn near 200,000 mallards fly right over our field to the feed lots 2 miles a way they were swarming in flocks of thousands.

More pics-hell yeah they are on the way

Well update tomorrow and the rest of the weekend

Limit-we can shoot 3 geese per day out here

Yep, we pretty much put the smack down on 'em today. :D They were flying so low it was rediculous. :shock:

Sorry to keep you guys waiting on updates. We have barely even sleped between hunts we went out Friday night and shot 6 honkers and 5 ducks on the river. We lost 1 goose and 4 ducks. We went out Saturday morning and shot 10 geese. We have pictures were just to busy to post em right now. I would imagine pics to follow in the next day or 2. It has been a slaughter so far 31 geese and 6 ducks this weekend and were going out in the morning with the weather on our side :o :o :o

Trip is over. We ended up with 43 Geese and 15 ducks for the weekend. Awesome hunt we will have pics up by tomorrow we all have like 80 on our cameras. Shot my first Speck today and we also managed a double banded $100 reward mallard drake.

really tired. we got home from kansas city airport at 4 this morning then i went to work at 10 in the morning. not so much hungover. but we did get our drink on a couple of nights.. thanks again luke and bryson. had an awsome time.

Mnbenelli, yeah we were all running on adrenaline that last morning. It had snowed all night and was blowing hard out, which means blowing snow right in your face since we were in a pit. Not that I am complaining. First time for all of the IKC to hunt out of pits and it was awesome. I musta been in mid-blink in that one picture. Looks pretty bad. Well good. I dont have to post pics up now, derek took care of it. Ehhh. I'll prolly throw a few on here in the next few days.

It was a sweet weekend. It took all we had not to go back to sleep on Sunday. Good thing we got out there for the specks and the double bander. Im sure we will get a couple more pics on here but between Me and Derek I think we covered the trip pretty well. We definately shot a lot of different types of birds. Great time guys. Im glad you had fun.
