I am new to duck hunting and wan't to get a good instructional cd on duck calling. There are a few out there and was wondering if any stood out better than the rest for beginers? Also what would be a good first duck call to practice with. :?:

To start off.I would get calling ducks 2.0 and depending on how much you want to spend get a SMM or get a Legend both are really good calls... hope this helps....

As for the video Jeff's calling ducks 2.O is the best i have seen,, as for a call you could get a legend, if money is a issue it is a great call, If money is no issue , you could go with any of our calls they are all good, i personally use the dead meat mallard, and timber rattler, the most but any of them are Good, you can call the shop or go to the main website to get these products...

If its not a money issue then get a DMM or SMM or Legend but I tell you what that DMM is GREAT but the TR isnt bad either

Thanks for the info guys, now for my next question. Should I get a single read or a double read?

Doubles will build your confidence alot faster (easier to sound ducky), singles have more range. Don't sacrifice me for this one boys...but Duckology 101 by Duck Commander is also a great instructional cd, especially for a beginner. There's no doubt that Callin' Ducks 2.0 is a great dvd as far as Foiles calls and hen mallard calling, but Duckology 101 shows a new caller a wide range of duck calls - pintail, widgeon, mallard drake, woodie, gadwall etc.
