Like the title says. I'm looking to free up some space in the gun cabinet. Anyone know if I can use the slug barrel from my 870 mag on my 870 express super mag reciever? Thanks fellas!

im not a prostaffer, but i tried this once. i would say no..i tried this on an 11-87 3'' gun and an 11-87 supermag. the metal thinger on the barrel that isnt a full circle thats on the opposite side of the ejector opening is slightly longer on the supermag. the barrel will fit on, but it slides back when fired. and it should not do that with a pump gun. sorry for not using the correct terms for the gun parts haha. not really sure exactly what thats called. it may be different on an 870 than it was on an 11-87, so give it a try. just check that length before you shoot it.

mrussell- check my post on your "product news and questions" post.

Kramerkid- you're right with the 11-87's, that you can't interchange between super and non-super mag barrels. but with the 870's it's a different design.
