A buddy of mine has one, and loves it. He said he couldn't get the short reed thing, so he bought the meatcutter. I've thought about buying one to play around the house with.

I got one and love it. I like my SMH more but my Meatcutter gives a diffrent more deeper goose sound that I like to mix in. Definetly takes a little more energy to blow A Meatcutter.

I have one and it sounds okay. I tuned my buddies for him and it sounds awesome but I just can't get mine to sound as good as his. I prefer the short reeds but I think someone in the group should always blow a flute. If you are a good flute caller you will love it. I don't know if there are any sound files from WWII buy they had a flute contest and the MC took 1 and 2. They sounded awesome and it sold me the call on the spot.
